Enjoy a private yoga lesson tailored to meet your specific needs at the time that suits you and in the comfort of your own home. Kerry will create a yoga lesson and/or yoga program specifically designed for you using intelligent yoga design and proper technique and alignment. Receive individualized adjustments to assist you in deepening your holistic Yoga practice. Private lessons will be specifically adapted to you and may include yogic practices such as; breathing techniques, physical yoga poses, postural alignment work, meditation, relaxation, restorative yoga, awareness & mindfulness, yoga philosophy, and helping you develop a home practice.
Private lessons are a great way to address specific concerns you may have, whether it is an injury, chronic pain, stress, asthma, IBS, MS, illness, anxiety, depression, migraines, postural alignment work, pre/post natal yoga, physical and/or mental imbalances, hormonal imbalances, chronic pain and/or inflammatory issues, yoga for cancer, and more. Private lessons give you an opportunity to ask questions about specific poses, and deepen your understanding and knowledge of how Yoga can help you with where you are at in your life. Yoga is an empowering practice in which you can learn the Yogic practices and apply them into your life.
Yoga is not meant to diagnose or cure a problem or issue you may be facing in your life, but it gives you the space to open up and cultivate self-awareness of what is happening within you and from that place of awareness using the Yogic tools to help bring you to a more balanced, and harmonious place, physically, mentally and emotionally.
*It is recommended to book a minimum of 3 sessions in order to fully receive the benefits of the practice.
First session is 1.5 hours which includes the assessment. Subsequent sessions can be either 1.5hrs or 1 hr.

Private Yoga Lesson fee structure:
The 1st Yoga Therapy session is 1.5 hours and includes an assessment and individualized yoga program. Subsequent lessons are offered at either 1 or 1.5 hours.
1 hour lesson = $70
1.5 hour lesson = $90
*It is recommended to book a minimum of 3 sessions
*If you would like to add a friend or small group to the lesson it is an additional $5/person.
*Private lessons outside of the Greater Trail area (Rossland, Warfield, Trail) are an additional $10 travel charge.
*Cancellation policy: 24 hours notice required for any cancellations. 75% charge if less than 24 hours notice is given and full payment required if less than 2 hours notice.

Specific Yoga Programs:
Yoga is a deeply healing and therapeutic approach that helps teach how to cultivate greater awareness of the body, mind and spirit and empower oneself to heal and come back into balance for optimal functioning, mentally, physically and emotionally. As this is a holistic practice it is not a "quick-fix" instead a practice that allows for healing on a deep level which takes commitment and time. Please note the session recommendations and book accordingly to you and your current needs.

2. Yoga for Chronic Pain Management:

*Therapeutic Yoga techniques for managing and reducing chronic pain symptoms
Yoga can help ease chronic pain through a variety of techniques that when used in combination can help alleviate and reduce symptoms of chronic pain. Breathing techniques is one Yoga technique which can calm the nervous system down and therefore reduce the fight/flight/freeze response. When the nervous system is calm all the systems in the body can function optimally including the muscular system which can help ease chronic tension and tightness in the muscles. As well, calming the nervous system helps to increase blood flow throughout the body which can help reduce inflammation and increase flow through the joint. It can also help increase the flow of the lymphatic system (immune system) as well as balance the endocrine system (hormone) which can decrease the stress hormone cortisol and in turn reduce inflammation and the pain response. The goal of the Pain Management program is to help you become more aware and from a place of awareness use calming breathwork, functional movement to help create alignment in the physical body, and deep relaxation to help release tension on all levels, physically, mentally and emotionally. Pain is a response the body is sending asking you to pay attention, to turn inward and notice where the imbalance is happening so that you can become empowered to get yourself out of pain and more at ease in your body and mind. The cells in the body refresh, renew and regenerate regularly, the trick is to get out the habit that is causing a nerve response to the brain saying there is pain in the part of the body. We are amazing creatures capable of change on a deep, visceral level that can lead to neuroplasticity (or changing the neural responses of our nervous/muscular system on a cellular level) of the cells in our body. Using mindful yoga techniques can help you make changes on a cellular, and physical level. A regular, committed practice is recommended as it takes time to help unwind tension and help you move deeply within to learn how to help yourself out of pain.
3. Yoga for Stress Management:

We all experience some levels of stress in our lives, there is
the "good" stress which helps us get up in the day and get moving,
then there is the harmful stress. When we live chronically in this state of
heightened chronic, harmful stress it can have negative effects on our body and
minds. Everyone manifests stress differently and can show itself as digestive
issues, hormonal imbalances, inflammatory disorders, chronic pain, depression,
anxiety, panic attacks, mood swings, insomnia, migraine headaches, poorly
functioning immune system, headaches, food/sugar/caffeine/alcohol cravings/addictions,
high blood pressure, autoimmune disorders, and other stress-related
(psychosomatic) disorders. Therapeutic Yoga, through relaxation
techniques, calming breathwork, body/mind awareness, and meditation can help
reduce the stress hormone cortisol (which has a negative affect on the
functioning of all our physiological systems) and guide us to a healthier,
happier and calmer state of being. The ancient practice of yoga empowers
us with practical and life changing tools to help reduce our stress levels and
help change and reverse the negative chain reaction that stress can have on our
bodies and mind.
4. Prenatal/Postnatal Yoga:
minimum 4 sessions recommended
Prenatal Yoga can help you prepare mentally and physically for your pregnancy, and lead you safely and confidently to your labour with breathing techniques, prenatal specific stretches, strengthening poses for your legs, pelvic floor, back and relaxation techniques to help calm your nervous system and reduce typical prenatal symptoms such as insomnia, anxiety, back pain, breathing issues, etc. Specific Prenatal contraindications will be discussed and shared as well as allow you the time to ask questions for clarification. This is a great opportunity to slow down and connect deeply with yourself and your growing baby!
Postnatal Yoga is helpful to empower you rebuild your strength, flexibility and stamina, practice calming breathing techniques and learn poses to help with relaxation and overall rejuvenation of your body, mind and spirit.
5. "Getting Unstuck" Yoga Program:
“Getting Unstuck” is a new Yoga program designed by Kerry to help you get out of negative cyclical patterns and help you get “unstuck” physically, mentally and emotionally by providing new, positive patterns on a neurological level through relaxation, meditation, breathwork, yoga nidra, mindful movement such as somatics and restorative yoga practices. “Getting Unstuck” will be a program where we will build on our experience each week building greater resiliency and inner strength to make the changes we are longing for in our lives.
