Yoga with Kerry

March Yoga Break

Hello Yogi’s

I wanted to take a moment and connect with you to let you know what is going on in the world of ‘Yoga with Kerry.’

I am currently in my 4th semester of full-time academic studies in the Masters of Arts of Counselling Psychology program with Yorkville University. This is an exceptional school and program, however, it is incredibly demanding and the workload is much more than I had anticipated! I love what I am learning so far and feel the program offers a rigorous and extensive education that I am already applying in all areas of my life. I only have one more term of academic study that will take me until the end of August. Afterward, I will be enrolling in a 7-month local practicum placement.

As well, my teaching contract with SD 20 has (happily) increased until the end of June. With both my Masters degree and the increase in school teaching, I have decided to take a break from teaching Yoga classes and private sessions during the month of March. I hope that I will have settled into my new teaching contract and schoolwork and will be able to continue offering yoga classes/privates in April and onwards.

This is a difficult decision, as I love teaching yoga, however, I am starting to feel the pressure both physically and mentally and wanted to take a proactive step in preventing potential burnout.

Thank you to everyone for your ongoing support, loyalty, and continued presence (on the mat and off!) I appreciate you and our Yoga Kula and look forward getting back to teaching yoga again very soon!

As a reminder, I have free online yoga video’s on my website including; Yoga for Relaxation, and Gentle Yoga (www.kerryyoga.com) As well, stay connected via the Yoga with Kerry facebook page for lots of great info and video’s. https://www.facebook.com/kerryyoga/

Much gratitude,

Kerry
