Moving towards a Yoga practice was a natural transtion after growing up training in competitive gymnastics and then spending my college years training in dance.
I fell in love with the elegance, strength and depth found in a Yoga practice. However, it wasn't until after a car accident in 2004 that opened my eyes to the physical, mental and emotionally healing powers of Yoga.
My goal is to empower individuals in their process of growth, healing and resiliency.
I am a certified Yoga Therapist with International Association of Yoga Therapy. In 2019, I became a Registered Clinical Counsellor after completing my Masters in Counselling Psychology through Yorkville University including an 8-month practicum placement at Child and Youth Mental Health. As well, I have a Bachelor of Education degree from UBC and a Bachelor of Science degree from UVic.
I am passionate about neuroscience and trauma, in particular the brain and nervous system's incredible capacity for change and resilience through neuroplasticity.
My teachings are driven from a client-centered approach, with empirically informed practices combined with grace and heart-centered approaches that come with being human! I also appreciate humour and the simplicity of having a good laugh!
